Repair and coat underground concrete disinfection channels, construct a new electrical building, modernize the existing secondary effluent treatments system and upgrade the No. 3 water pumping system.

Demolition and reconstruct portions of deep subterranean chlorine contact channels that run underneath the treatment plant.
Result
Effectively disinfect nearly 80% of the City’s wastewater prior to discharging into the San Francisco Bay.
