Objective
Refurbish and replace the aging mechanical and electrical systems of the Griffith Pump Station and extend its expected service life.
Challenge
Replacing the entire mechanical and electrical systems while keeping the plant online and functional, similar to doing brain and heart replacement surgery at the same time while the patient goes to work.
Result
Continue to handle the typical dry-weather wastewater flows of 3.3 million gallons per day as well as handle the 120 million gallons per day maximum wet weather flows.
