Objective
Construct a new blower building, new chemical storage/dosing system and upgrade 3 existing oxidation ditches from traditional brush rotor aeration systems to modern disk membrane disk fine bubble diffused aeration systems.
Challenge
Installing complex stainless steel aeration piping systems ranging in size from 24” to 2”, working in difficult to access below grade oxidation ditches and working through the complex electrical/instrumentation installations to ensure proper, reliable working functions.
Result
Increase capacity of the plant allowing for future buildout of the city population and reduce overall plant power consumption.
